The trade balance deficit retreated by 17.8 per cent to reach 3.41 billion dollars during May 2025, compared to 4.15 billion dollars during the same month of 2024, said the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) on Tuesday, August 5, 2025.
In its monthly bulletin, CAPMAS said exports upped by 4.6 percent to reach 4.25 billion dollars in May 2025, against 4.06 billion dollars in the same month of last year.
Meanwhile, imports declined by 6.7 per cent to reach at 7.66 billion dollars in May 2025, against 8.21 billion dollars in the same month of 2024.
