BEIRUT – Lebanese economic authorities announced that the 6th edition of the Egyptian-Lebanese Business Forum will be held on September 18 in Cairo under the auspices of Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli.
The announcement was made during a press conference organized by the Lebanese economic authorities on Thursday and attended by Egyptian Ambassador to Lebanon Yasser Elwi and Executive Director of Lebanon’s Economy and Business Group Raouf Abu Zaki, as well as head of the Egyptian Lebanese Businessmen Friendship Association (Elba) Fathallah Fawzi.
The Egyptian ambassador said that the forum’s 6th edition is the culmination of a long journey of assiduous joint work.
Abu Zaki underscored the importance of Egypt’s efforts to resolve the political crisis in Lebanon and preserve its Arab identity.
For his part, the chairman of Elba praised the profound, history-honored relations between Egypt and Lebanon. He said that encouraging economic integration between the two countries’ private sectors will be one of the main topics on the agenda of the coming forum.
