KAZAN- Leaders of BRICS countries held a closed session after the general session in Kazan to discuss means of enhancing bilateral relations and promoting interests of the developing south countries in regional and international forums.
The talks also tackled the latest international developments.
During the BRICS summit due to end on Thursday, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi is scheduled to review Egypt’s vision and its stands vis-a-vis important regional and international issues, especially means of bolstering cooperation with the BRICS countries as well as reforming the global financial structure to realize the aspired balance.
President Sisi will highlight the needs of developing countries in light of the negative impact of international conflicts and crises.
The president will also tackle climate change issues and means of enhancing economic and development cooperation with BRICS countries.
Moreover, BRICS leaders with the participation of President Sisi will hold a BRICS Plus meeting on Thursday.
Delegations of about 40 countries representing the developing south countries and the heads of multilateral organisations will take part in the meeting which will tackle the current international issues as well as the latest developments in the Middle East.
