The chairman of National Food Safety Authority (NFSA) Tarek el-Houby asserted his Authority’s commitment to strengthening coordination with the Egyptian Commercial Service (ECA) to enhance the competitiveness of Egyptian food exports and facilitate their access to global markets.
The assertion to this effect came during a meeting on Tuesday with Minister Plenipotentiary for Commercial Affairs and Head of the ECA Abdelaziz el-Sherif.
El-Houby stressed that the NFSA is advancing Egypt’s food safety system in line with international standards, focusing on streamlining export procedures and applying digital systems to ensure efficiency and speed. He described the ECA as a key partner in supporting the country’s export strategy and expanding the global presence of national products.
Both sides agreed to maintain regular coordination, exchange expertise, and enhance collaboration to support high-quality Egyptian exports and sustainable food security.
