The banking services related to the financial inclusion increased by more than 110% within the past five years, said Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) Deputy Governor Sherif Loqman.
Efforts by the CBE to support access to the digital services related to financial inclusion over the past three years have contributed to attaining quantum leap in providing services related to the rehabilitation of the infrastructure for digital transformation, he added during the conference held on the future of the Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), organised by the Union of Arab Banks under the auspices of the CBE.
Loqman said that E-commerce transactions in Egypt reached about LE200 billion.
