CAIRO – The National Food Safety Authority (NFSA) on Sunday said that 200,000 tonnes of vegetables, fruit, molasses (black honey), and food products were exported in a week, between July 19 – July 25.
In its 26th weekly report since the start of 2025, the authority said potatoes topped the list of exports at 10,000 tons followed by green beans (6,000 tonnes) and mixed frozen vegetables (5,000 tonnes).
The volume of exported vegetables reached 30,000 tonnes, including 48 types of vegetables.
Strawberry topped exported fruit list with 8,000 tonnes to be followed by citrus at 5,000 tons and fresh grapes at 4,000 tons.
The volume of exported fruits reached 21,000 tonnes, including 27 types.
Indonesia, Italy, the Netherlands and Saudi Arabia are top importers of Egyptian vegetables and fruit, according to the authority.
