CAIRO – The 109th ministerial meeting of the Arab Economic and Social Council kicked off on Thursday under Egyptian Trade and Industry Minister Nivine Gamea.
Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit attended the meeting alongside a number of Arab ministers of trade, economy and finance and their representatives.
The meeting’s agenda focuses on the establishment of an Arab ministerial council for education, preparing economic and social files for the Arab summit and following up the implementation of the decisions taken during the fourth Arab development summit which was held in Beirut.
It also tackles investments among Arab countries and supporting innovation in tourism sector.
