President Abdel Fattah El‑Sisi received a phone call on Thursday from Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The President extended congratulations to the Crown Prince on the occasion of the upcoming Saudi National Day, wishing continued stability and prosperity for the Kingdom under the leadership of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The Crown Prince expressed appreciation for the President’s gesture, affirming the deep fraternal and historic ties between the two nations.
Presidency Spokesman Mohamed El‑Shennawy said that the call reviewed the overall bilateral relations, with President Sisi stressing the importance of further strengthening cooperation to serve the shared interests and aspirations of both peoples. He underlined the unity of destiny between Egypt and Saudi Arabia, emphasising that the security of the Kingdom and Arab states is an extension of Egypt’s national security.
The Crown Prince praised the progress in Egypt–Saudi relations and the close coordination between the two countries in promoting peace and stability in the Middle East. He highlighted the importance of intensifying cooperation across all fields, including high‑level exchanges.
The call also addressed regional and international developments, with both leaders stressing the need to reduce current tensions to safeguard regional stability, given the impact of ongoing escalation on energy security, supply chains and international trade.
