Minister of Civil Aviation Mohamed Abbas has met with Chief Representative of the Japan International Co-operation Agency (JICA) Egypt Office Kato Ken and his accompanying delegation.
The meeting comes in light of the political leadership’s directives as regards upgrading the civil aviation sector and Egyptian airports in line with the rise in airline passenger traffic.
Abbas praised co-operation between his ministry and JICA at all levels, especially in the civil aviation field.
The meeting touched on several future projects between the two sides in the civil aviation sector. The two sides reviewed the Egyptian Airports Company’s vision for developing the Hurghada and Borg El Arab airports with a view to providing the best services to their passengers.
Meanwhile, Kato Ken asserted that JICA is looking forward to further co-operation with Egypt, noting that the Japanese agency would continue providing all means of support for the Egyptian civil aviation sector.
