CAIRO – Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry will travel to Athens Tuesday on a visit aimed at further enhancing Egypt-Greece relations and consulting on the latest regional and international developments.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid said in a press statement Monday that the visit will include important meetings with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias to discuss ways to boost co-operation and coordination between the two countries on issues of mutual interest, as well as to continue political consultation on important regional and international issues.
According to Abu Zeid, Shoukry will also meet during the visit with Dimitrios Copelouzos, the founding Chairman and Managing Director of the Copelouzos Group, to follow up on the progress achieved in implementing the electrical interconnection project between Egypt and Greece. He will also give an interview to the popular Greek Skai News station, the spokesman said.
