AIN SOKHNA – Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi inspected Wednesday the nitrogen fertilizer complex in Ain Sokhna in Suez.
At the onset of the inspection tour, the president toured the complex’s facilities.
Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli accompanied the president during the tour.
The president listened to a detailed explanation of the project indicating that the projects’ first phase was inaugurated in 2019.
The first phase included a complex for phosphate and compound fertilizers.
The president said that today we are witnessing the opening of the project’s second phase that included the nitrogen fertilizer complex, with mega factories to produce nitrogenous fertilizers to maximize the added value of Egyptian natural gas, through producing high qualityoil-coated fertilizers.
The complex is being built on an area of 285 feddans and is divided into factories complexes, including liquid ammonia factory with an annual production capacity of 400,000 tons and liquid Urea factory with a production capacity of 300,000 tons, granular urea factory with a production capacity of 300,000 tons, nitric acid factory, with a production capacity of 165,000 tons, liquid ammonium nitrate factory with a production capacity of 200,000 tons and limestone ammonium nitrate with a production capacity of 300,000 tons.
The president toured the complex key operational room and was also posted on the flow of the production process.
