Egypt’s Presidential Advisor for Health and Prevention Affairs Dr. Mohamed Awad Tag El-Din lauded President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s initiative to diagnose and treat diseases via online outpatient consultation as it would help realize optimal use of best-in-class medical trends and end patients suffering in moving from one governorate to another.
In an interview over the phone Sunday with ‘Good Morning Egypt’ program aired through Channel One of the Egyptian TV, the presidential advisor for health and prevention affairs said Egypt is benefiting from the most up-to-date advances in the medical services and scientific research domains.
According to Tag El-Din, the president’s initiative would also support doctors and medical staffers in remote governorates.
He said Egypt launched the first Telehealth Consultation Service enabling patients to consult their doctor from the comfort of their homes and get convenient access to care, through a list of doctors ready to cater to their health needs.
