Chairman of the Egyptian Holding Company for Airports and Air Navigation Mohamed Saeed Mahrous confirmed that participating in the Airports Council International Conference and Exhibition for the African continent in the Rwandan capital of Kigali, is a good opportunity to learn about the future of the airport industry within the African continent.

Mahrous pointed out that Africa’s airports, including the Egyptian airports, have promising opportunities for growth in the future.

Mahrous witnessed the opening session of the conference. He also participated in the meeting of the Board of Directors of the African Airports Council ACI Africa, as part of the event’s agenda, representing Egypt.

The 69th session of the ACI Conference and Exhibition for Africa, which was hosted by the Rwandan capital, Kigali, was held under the slogan “It’s time to act for a sustainable African airport industry,” in the presence of nearly 400 international personalities representing international and continental bodies in the field of aviation and airports, those involved in the air transport industry, and representatives of various Airports within the continent of Africa.

The 69th session of the conference witnessed the exchange of experiences and the presentation of visions to chart the course of the future of the aviation industry in the African continent, especially for the period after the coronavirus pandemic, which cast a negative shadow on the travel and tourism industry in the past few years.
