Chairman of EgyptAir Holding Company Yehia Zakaria said yesterday that the company is working according to a plan to expand its air transport activities in Africa.
This came during his participation in the first round of the Aerospace African Forum, which was held in Casablanca, Morocco.
In a press release, EgyptAir Holding Company said that Zakaria had noted that the company aims at opening new markets to reach new destinations in Africa.
During the forum, the chairman of the EgyptAir Holding Company discussed the future developments and capabilities to manufacture planes that do not produce carbon emissions. The forum also reviewed economic expectations concerning air transport sector, especially after Covid-19 pandemic.
Held under the theme “Sustainable Mobilities”, the event brought together key decision-makers and major players from all aerospace-related sectors. It shed light on the future challenges of the aviation industry in Africa.
The forum also centred on providing technical training programmes to acquaint young people in African countries with potential careers in the aeronautics industry.
