BERLIN – Egypt has made a quantum leap on exports of fruit and vegetables to Germany, hitting about €1 billion this year at a 30% rise, said the head of the Egyptian commercial office of the Egyptian embassy in Berlin Abdel Aziz el Sherif.
He said on Thursday that the promotion for Egyptian products in exhibitions is one of the most important ways to open new markets.
Egypt currently participates with about 63 public and private companies at Fruit Logistica 2023 Berlin, held from February 8 to 10 in the German capital.
El Sherif added that Egypt adopts an active export policy, noting that a large number of Egyptian companies is committed to the international standards for food security.
