CAIRO – An earthquake measuring 4.2 magnitude on the Richter scale hit northeastern Hurghada in the early hours of Friday, Egypt’s National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics (NRIA) said in a statement.
The quake took place at 1:41 am local time, with no injury or property damage reported, the NRIA added according to MENA.
The quake was located at the latitude of 27.50 north, longitude 34.07 east, and depth 8 km.
