Egyptian Agriculture Minister el Sayyed el-Qusair asserted the strength of ties binding Egypt and Brazil at the different levels in addition to the joint fields of co-operation topped by the agricultural domain.
This came during Qusair’s meeting with Brazilian Ambassador to Egypt Antonio de Aguiar to discuss means of boosting agricultural co-operation.
The meeting tackled means to increase opportunities of trade exchange between Egypt and Brazil, Qusair said, adding that the Egyptian agricultural exports have good reputation and new markets were opened for them abroad especially that of citrus, strawberry and mango in addition to other products.
Qusair pointed out to the possibility of expanding co-operation in the field of producing seeds.
He also pointed out to expanding the co-operation activities to include co-operation in the field of planting sugarcane via seedlings and benefiting from Brazil in this field via sending Brazilian experts to Egypt.
Meanwhile, de Aguiar asserted that the volume of trade between Egypt and Brazil was upped over the recent period, pointing out to the joint challenges and inked co-operation agreements between both countries.
