CAPMAS: Volume of trade exchange between Egypt, Jordan hit dlrs 894 m

CAIRO – Egypt’s exports to Jordan rose to dlrs 669 million in the first eleven months of 2022, compared to dlrs 654 million in the same period of 2021, marking an increase of 2.3 percent, announced the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).

In a statement released Friday according to MENA, CAPMAS stated that Egypt’s imports from Jordan hit dlrs 225 million from January to November 2022, against dlrs 180 million in the corresponding period of 2021, recording a 25 percent rise.

The agency stated that the volume of trade exchange between Egypt and Jordan recorded dlrs 894 million in the first eleven months of 2022 against dlrs 834 million in the same period of 2021, recording an increase of 7.2 percent.

It explained that Jordan’s total investments in Egypt hit dlrs 52.5 million in the fiscal year (FY) 2020/2021, compared to dlrs 21.8 million in the fiscal year (FY) 2019/2020, marking an increase of 130.3 percent.
