Businessman Karim Shabrawy is set to open a group of international Bateel stores for dates and fine chocolate for the first time in Egypt.
Considered one of investments of Shah Holdings Group, which is famous for investing in tourism, import and export, real estate and other investment fields, the project will bring largest international brands of dates and chocolate.
Bateel’s products were not limited to dates and chocolates, but it was also famous for its pastries and candied fruits, a statement by the company said, adding that the Bateel sells more than 20 different types of dates.
Established in 1992 with a headquarter in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Bateel first store was opened in Dubai, then it expanded in 15 other branches in the United Arab Emirates. Several other stores in various Gulf countries, Asia, Africa and Europe were followed then.
Businessman Karim Al-Shabrawy is one of the automotive sector tycoons and works also in the tourism and investment fields. Shabrawy is currently residing in the UAE.
