US welcomes President Sisi’s visit to Iraq

WASHINGTON- The United States has welcomed Sunday’s historic visit to Baghdad by President of Egypt Abdel Fattah El Sisi and King of Jordan Abdullah II, according to a statement released by US Department of State Spokesperson Ned Price.

The statement posted on the US Department of State website said: “This visit is an important step in strengthening regional economic and security ties between Egypt, Iraq, and Jordan and to advance regional stability.”
