LISBON – Portugal’s monthly unemployment rate edged up to 6.4% in November from a revised reading of 6.0% the previous month, the National Statistics Institute (INE) said in its flash estimate on Friday.
The labour underutilisation rate rose to 11.6% from 11.2% in the previous month.
The youth unemployment rate (16 to 24 years old) went up to 18.2% in November, from 17.9% in the previous month but decreased from 22.5% a year ago.
