A tripartite summit between the foreign ministers of Egypt, Jordan and Iraq started on Wednesday to discuss a trilateral co-operation mechanism between their countries.
Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry arrived at the HQ of the Jordanian Foreign Ministry a while ago and was received by Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman al-Safadyi.
The top diplomats are set to hold a press conference after the end of talks.
The three-way co-operation mechanism is meant to enhance co-operation between Egypt, Jordan and Iraq in the fields of trade, industry, economy, land transport, power linkage and energy.
The third summit was held in the Iraqi capital in June 2021. The second was organiسed in August 2020 in Jordan and the first was in March 2019.
