Chairman of the National Authority for Social Insurance Gamal Awad said that the minimum social insurance subscription wage will increase to LE1,700 from LE1,400 as of January 1, 2023.
In a statement on Monday, Awad added that starting from January 1, 2023, the subscription wage will be determined with a maximum limit of LE10,900 instead of LE9,400.
The move comes in implementation of the new pension and insurance law, according to him.
The law includes an annual mechanism for upping these two minimum and maximum limits, he said.
