SHARM EL SHEIKH – Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi asserted to US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi that Egypt continues to fight terrorism and extremist thoughts which spread violence, sabotage and destruction of countries.
During a meeting held Thursday night on the fringe of the COP27 conference, Sisi asserted to Pelosi and her accompanying delegation that the Egyptian-American relations are strategic and Egypt was looking forward to developing them in all fields.
Pelosi, on her part, voiced her appreciation for Egypt’s efforts and its pivotal role as a cornerstone of stability in the Middle East.
She also praised the joint cooperation relations between the two countries and greeted Sisi on the outstanding organization of the UN Climate Conference, asserting that the US attaches great importance to its relations with Egypt.
US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi expressed appreciation of Egypt’s pivotal role as a cornerstone of stability in the entire Middle East region.
This came during her meeting with President Sisi on the sidelines of the UN climate conference, COP27, currently being hosted by the Red Sea resort city of Sharm El Sheikh, presidential spokesman Bassam Radi said.
For his part, President Sisi asserted Egypt’s keenness on developing its strategic relations with the US in numerous domains.
