WASHINGTON – Egypt’s Consul General in Chicago and the Midwestern United States Ambassador Sameh Abul Enein discussed with new US investors from Chicago a number of economic and architectural development projects in Egypt.
In statements to MENA on Monday, amb. Abul Enein said “The focus is on projects in downtown Cairo, Tahrir Square, and the Nile River area.
He further noted that he had invited a number of US businessmen from heads of institutions operating in the Arab region, Africa, Europe and Asia, in addition to CEO and Founder of Augustus Global LLC. Eugene Carpino and Partner at Augustus Global Ventures Steve Kim, to invest in Egypt.
The Egyptian diplomat reviewed upgrading and establishing an international American hotel in the Tahrir complex, with a total cost of dlrs 250 million.
He also discussed with the CEO and Founder of Augustus Global LLC the second project, which the group is implementing in Egypt, with a total investment amounting to dlrs 900 million. The project will be carried out on the land of the former headquarters of the National Democratic Party next to the Egyptian Museum, in front of the Nile and next to the Nile Ritz-Carlton.
The meeting was also attended by a number of Egyptian businessmen.
