The Decent Life Foundation held an awareness seminar at Tanta University on Monday about development efforts on the ground.
These seminars come in response to the call by the national dialogue upon civil society organisations to conduct public discussion in all governorates with various groups and spread the culture of volunteering work among university students. Field visits are to be made to development projects nationwide, giving university students an opportunity to volunteer and participate in the national projects, executed by Decent Life.
President of Tanta University Mahmoud Zaki and Head of the Executive Sector of the Decent Life Foundation, Mohamed Taher attended the event, which was held in co-operation with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Supreme Council of Universities, the National Training Academy and the Egyptian Centre for Strategic Studies.
The Decent Life Foundation held the first public awareness seminar for university students and introduced them to the presidential initiative Decent Life at the Faculty of Mass Communication, Cairo University, under the title of ‘Awareness and Introducing the Development Efforts in the National Decent Life Project’.
The Decent Life initiative is the largest development project in the history of Egypt. It aims to bring about a radical change in the lives of rural people and provide them with comprehensive sustainable development.
