Cairo – State Minister of Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates’ Affairs Soha Gendy has stressed that the ministry prioritises contacting Egyptian communities in African countries in the coming period.
The emigration ministry pointed out in a statement on Friday that the minister’s remarks came at her meeting with Egypt’s newly-appointed ambassador to Kenya Wael Attia.
The meeting was part of efforts to strengthen communication with Egyptian communities abroad in coordination with the Foreign Ministry, the statement read.
The minister said Kenya is one of the most important countries in Africa, reviewing initiatives adopted by the emigration ministry to support African countries in different domains, it added.
