RAMALLAH – The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates warned of Israel’s relentless attempts to ruin all efforts exerted by the Palestinians at the regional and international levels to calm conditions and rebuild confidence to pave the way for reaching a political settlement for the long-running Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
Israel’s daily acts of aggression, provocations and escalations against the Palestinians are all part of these deliberate attempts that aim at serving its scheme to weasel out of all its peace obligations, the ministry said in a statement late Thursday.
It said that Israel’s intransigence and refusal to recognise the Palestinian self-determination and statehood rights show its continuing failure to prove itself as a genuinely serious peace partner.
