Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tareq el-Mulla discussed on Wednesday with President and CEO of Denmark’s Haldor Topsoe Roeland Baan and his accompany delegation co-operation in energy transition projects and the possibility of benefiting from the Danish company’s experiences in green ammonia techniques.
In statements, the minister said talks took up Egypt’s efforts to become a regional hub for energy and the importance of green ammonia.
Egypt seeks to capitalise on Haldor Topsoe’s expertise to achieve the country’s ambitious goals in the short run to curb greenhouse gas emissions by applying green solutions, according to Molla.
He underscored the necessity of luring more investments in the fields of researches and development, as per goals and plans of the Egyptian state in this regard.
In turn, Baan said the company seeks to contribute to fulfilling future action plans of the Egyptian Petrochemicals Holding Company and Abu Qir Fertilisers Company in green ammonia production.
