Cairo- Egypt’s Social Solidarity Minister Nevine Kabbag has directed the head of the solidarity directorate in Giza to quickly act to help families of victims of the blaze that erupted at Abu Sefein Church in Imbaba earlier Sunday.
Kabbag was speaking during her visits to Agouza General Hospital and Imbaba General Hospital to inquire after the health of those injured in the incident.
The minister also ordered Egyptian Red Crescent teams to be available at the site of the fire to offer service when needed.
It has been decided to pay 50,000 pounds to each family who lost their breadwinner in the accident. Each family who lost any of its members, who is not a breadwinner, will be paid 25,000 pounds in compensation. Each of the injured will receive 5,000 pounds.
Al Azhar and NGOs have, meanwhile, decided to pay 50,000 pounds to families of the victims.
