ABHA, Saudi Arabia – Saudi Arabia claimed on Sunday the title of the 2022 Arab Cup U-20 after defeating the Egyptian team 5-3 on penalties following a 1-1 draw at Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz Stadium in Abha.
The Egyptian team scored a goal in the 50th minute of the game.
The 2022 tournament, that began on 20 July, is the sixth edition of the Arab Cup U-20.
Saudi Arabia won the previous edition in 2021.
