VIENNA – Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of St. Mark Diocese wrapped up a 12-day visit to Austria.
He was seen off by Egyptian Ambassador to the European country Mohammed El Molla and director of the United Nations Office in Vienna Ghada Wali.
Church sources told MENA correspondent in Vienna that medical check-ups the pope had in Vienna proved he was in good health.
During his visit to Austria, he attended proceedings of the European Coptic Youth Conference that wrapped up Sunday at the premises of the Monastery of Bishop Antonios near the Austrian capital, Vienna.
Pope Tawadros was keen to thank Austria’s priests for the good organisation of the three-day gathering, sources with the church told MENA correspondent here.
The pope witnessed the inauguration of churches and delivered his weekly sermon yesterday at a newly-inaugurated church in Vienna.
