CAIRO – Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhi said the Egyptian State realizes the importance of the youth role and works on maximizing the benefit of their contributions.
Most of the plans included in the national agenda for sustainable development and Egypt Vision 2030 are based on youth contributions and initiatives, Sobhi told the World Youth Development Forum via video conference.
The minister pointed out to holding four editions of the World Youth Forum in Egypt, where Egyptian youth are integrated with young people from across the world.
Sobhi expressed pleasure at being invited to the forum, which he said coincides with the 66th anniversary of the establishment of Egypt-China diplomatic relations.
It also comes at a time when bilateral ties are witnessing a “golden age” in light of distinguished friendship between Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping, he added.
Organized by China on July 21-23, the forum is attended – either via video or in person – by more than 100 distinguished guests including Niger’s president Mohamed Bazoum, United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, and Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum Klaus Schwab, as well as about 2,000 youth representatives from over 100 countries.
