CAIRO – Malta’s Minister for Transport, Infrastructure and Capital Projects Aaron Farrugia expressed his appreciation for Egypt’s role in the region.
During his meeting with Egypt’s ambassador to Malta Khaled Anis, the Maltese minister also congratulated Egypt on hosting the UN Climate Change Conference (COP27), which will be held in November.
The Egyptian ambassador shed light on major achievements in Egypt in several spheres, including transport, infrastructure, mega projects and road constructions, in addition to the establishment of the New Administrative Capital (NAC), the Foreign Ministry said on its official Facebook page on Friday.
The ambassador also pointed out to the new underground and monorail projects.
Egypt is keen to promote cooperation with Malta in different domains, added the ambassador during the meeting.
For his part, Farrugia said his country is looking forward to implementing future projects with Egypt and sharing experience in several fields.
