ORAN – The  Egyptian delegation won 3 new medal on Tuesday, bringing Egypt’s balance to 15 medals.

3 new medals

Yehia Hafez, a player for the Egyptian wrestling team, won the silver medal, after losing to his opponent, the Albanian champion, in the final to win the silver medal, in the 65 kg freestyle wrestling category.

Egyptian wrestler Amr Reda won a new gold after defeating his Turkish competitor in the field of 74 kg freestyle wrestling 12-1 to win the gold.

Youssef Hamida won the bronze medal in the 125 kg Roman wrestling competition after defeating the Greek champion in the match for third and fourth places.

This brings Egypt’s medal tally to 15, with 4 gold, 5 silver and 6 bronze.

Omar Asr managed to defeat the Tunisian champion 4-0 and qualify for the second group stage after winning the first match against the Spanish champion 4-1, while Ahmed Saleh beat the Serbian champion 4-0 and qualified for the second group stage, after beating the Turkish champion 4-0. 3 in the first match.

Hana Gouda defeated the Tunisian champion and qualified for the quarter-finals after she beat the Slovenia champion 4-2, while Dina Musharraf won the Turkish champion 4-2 and is waiting for the Turkish player’s result in the last match to decide her position on qualifying for the quarter-finals after losing the first meeting in Groups against the Greek champion 4-1.

The first handball team beat Serbia 35-28 in the team’s second match in the first group of the Mediterranean Games held in Oran, Algeria.

The Egyptian handball team had won the first match yesterday against Italy, with a score of 38-35, and the team will play the third match on Thursday against Tunisia at ten in the morning, Algeria time.

Tribute to Zain

Hisham Hatab, President of the Egyptian Olympic Committee, presented the shield of the Egyptian Olympic Committee to Ali Zain, our national handball player, after winning the European Handball Champions League title with Barcelona.

The Olympic Committee shield was presented to him and honored for winning a league title European handball champions with the Spanish team Barcelona.

Where the player arrived on Tuesday to join the team and participate in the matches starting from Thursday after receiving a break from the technical staff of the team during which he was in Cairo and then joined the team today in the city of Oran.

Egyptian boxer Youmna Ayyad qualified for the semi-finals, after defeating her Spanish opponent in the boxing quarter-finals in the 54-kg weight category, to advance to the semi-finals of the tournament.

Abdel Rahman Orabi, the Egyptian boxing player, lost the quarter-final match for the 81 kg weight class against the Montenegro champion, 3-0.

The women’s volleyball team defeated Tunisia 3-1 at the end of the Group B matches of the Mediterranean Games in Oran, Algeria.

With this win, the women’s volleyball team qualified for the quarter-finals as the second group after beating Macedonia 3-1 and losing to Greece 3-0.

Farah Hussein, a player for the women’s wrestling team, lost in her first match against her Turkish rival, with a score of 10/0. She also lost in the second match against the French champion, with a score of 4/2, and in the third match, 2/0 from the Algerian player, and Nada Mohamed received a loss from the Tunisian player 3/3. 1, while Mahmoud Badawy lost 11/0 to his French opponent.
