MEDINA, SAUDI ARABIA – Assistant Interior Minister for Administrative Affairs Sector Alaa el-Ahmadi affirmed the first batch of pilgrims will be airlifted from Egypt to Saudi Arabia on Friday for the 2022 hajj season.
Ahmadi, the head of the official Egyptian hajj mission, told MENA correspondent in Saudi Arabia on Thursday that all hajj mission crew are working around-the-clock to offer all facilitations and care to lottery pilgrims.
He told some officers of the mission “We are here to serve the pilgrims. We are assigned by the Interior Ministry with working to serve the pilgrims and make it easy for them to perform the rituals.”
Ahmadi urged the pilgrims to co-operate with the officials in charge of the mission and abide by the set regulations.
Hajj is the fifth pillar of Islam. The Hajj is an annual Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca, Saudi Arabia. It is a mandatory religious duty for Muslims that must be carried out at least once in their lifetime by all adult Muslims who are physically and financially capable of undertaking the journey.
