Marriott International continues to expand its Female Leadership Initiative (FLI) across Europe, Middle East and Africa with the programme’s launch in Egypt. The initiative is designed to provides high-potential female leaders with a bespoke personal development programme that will prepare them for the next level of their careers.

The launch of the FLI programme in Egypt took place in the presence of Ambassador Nabila Makram, Minister of Immigration and Egyptians Abroad Affairs, who inspired participants by sharing her journey as a leader. The event was also attended by senior Marriott International leaders including, Francisca Martinez, Chief Human Resources Officer, Europe, Middle East & Africa, Sandeep Walia, Chief Operating Officer, Middle East, and Ahmed Hozaien, Area Vice-President for Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Egypt.

During the launch event, participants went through a series of sessions focused on influencing and driving impact as a female leader, identifying and establishing their key strengths and building leadership presence. Moving forward, participants will create their own individual development plan under the guidance of a dedicated mentor. They will also have access to ongoing networking opportunities, eCornell courses and will hear from inspirational guest speakers through a series of fireside chats and roundtable discussions.

“As part of our leadership development efforts, we are excited to launch our Female Leadership Initiative in Egypt and look forward to advancing the next generation of female leaders in the country.”
