Egyptian Trade and Industry Minister Nevine Gamea affirmed the trade’s crucial role in reducing adverse environmental impacts and supporting the transition to a green economy.
During activities of the 12th Ministerial Conference (MC12), which is currently being held in Geneva, Gamea underlined the need of promoting joint action in order to establish governing frameworks for the relationship between trade and environment.
In a statement by the Trade and Industry Ministry, Gamea said that trade and climate change policies can contribute towards climate action and at the same time ensure opportunities for economic growth and diversification.
