EgyptAir received a delegation from the international company Siemens with the aim of getting acquainted with the company’s activities and discussing aspects of joint co-operation.
Amr Aboul-Enein, head of EgyptAir, said that the visit comes as part of the national company’s keenness to expand the exchange of experiences, training and co-operation with major international companies in various air transport activities using the latest technological systems.
The visit included a tour of the engine maintenance and overhaul complex at EgyptAir for Maintenance and Engineering, which is one of the largest engine maintenance workshops in the Middle East.
The Siemens delegation also visited the EgyptAir Training Academy to get acquainted with the various capabilities that exist in the Academy.
During the visit, the delegation listened to an explanation from Pilot Ihab El-Tahtawy, President of the EgyptAir Training Academy, about the modern and diverse training systems and programmes offered by the Academy to aviation workers in various disciplines, as well as to trainees and scholars from various companies and organizations in Egypt, Arab and African countries and various countries of the world.
Following the visit, the Siemens delegation praised EgyptAir’s development in the field of engine maintenance and internationally approved training programmes, stressing its confidence in the capabilities of EgyptAir and expressing its hope for the fruitful co-operation between the two sides to achieve a qualitative leap in engine maintenance services, digitisation of services provided to customers, and organising training courses in co-operation with the EgyptAir Academy to achieve mutual benefit.
