CAIRO – Egyptian Minister of Higher Education and Acting Health Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar discussed Monday with CEO of US company “General Electric” Rob Walton and his accompanying delegation co-operation in the medical domain and means to provide smart medical equipment to Egyptian hospitals.
The meeting was held on the sidelines of the 1st Africa Health ExCon, the biggest medical exhibition and conference on the continent,
held on June 5-7 at Al Manara International Exhibition Centre (EIEC).
The minister discussed with the US delegation efforts to upgrade 30 CT scan equipment depending on artificial intelligence at Egyptian hospitals.
They also discussed means to establish excellence centres for prostate cancers and the early detection of the disease.
The minister stressed the importance of training medical teams specialised in cancer diseases at Nasser Institute.
