As many as 186 tourists coming from Italy’s Milan arrived at Marsa Matrouh airport on Tuesday.
The tourists arrived on board of the first flight of the Italian airline Neos, which plans to regularly operate one flight a week to the lovely coastal city, and increase them to four flights a week during the summer season that begins by June.
EgyptAir said in a statement that the arriving tourists were greeted with flowers and given a warm welcome with a traditional dance show and the airport staffers finalised all their travel procedures easily.
Sabah Tawfiq, tourism general director in Matrouh governorate, said charter flights coming from Italy have been also resumed after a 2-year hiatus
