CAIRO – Sports Minister Ashraf Sobhy said Sunday that President Abdel Fattah El Sisi is very much concerned with enhancing awareness of youth, stressing that the media is a key player in this regard.
Addressing a forum on media awareness of youth, which kicked off here earlier today, Sobhy said the media plays an important role in shaping the culture and awareness of people.
“Building awareness of society starts from the youth, who are the future of the nation,” the minister said, noting that this is a matter of national security.
Sobhy also touched upon the role played by his Ministry to address that age group and correctly build their awareness. This is done with the aim to have a well-aware generation that is capable of facing challenges that hinder progress of the country, the minister further said.
He made it clear that the approach of the Sports Ministry is based on cooperation and coordination with the different media outlets, which support all national initiatives and are main partners in development efforts.
