Arab League (AL) Secretary-General Ahmed Abul Gheit has expressed satisfaction with the level of distinguished relations with Spain.
During a meeting Wednesday with King Felipe VI of Spain in Madrid, the two sides discussed regional and international issues of mutual concern.
Abul Gheit held another meeting with Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares Bueno, where they discussed means of promoting relations between the pan-Arab body and Spain, an AL official source said.
The talks also tackled the Palestinian cause, with Abul Gheit voicing concerns over the escalating situation between the Palestinians and Israelis.
He also pressed for intensifying efforts to reach a political solution for the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
The meeting also touched on the latest developments of the Ukrainian crisis and its repercussions on the entire world and the Arab region.
