CAIRO – Egyptian Transport Minister Kamel el Wazir said that Egypt plans to restore the power of its merchant fleet by establishing serious partnerships with the private sector, utilizing the capabilities of the state’s infrastructure to build, develop and maintain all marine units to serve Egyptian ports, and operating shipping lines to serve the Egyptian state’s ambitions.
Paying a visit to Alexandria Port, the minister toured the sites of new projects implemented under the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to turn Egypt into a global centre for trade and logistics, develop all Egyptian ports and restore the power of the Egyptian merchant fleet.
