CAIRO –Egypt’s Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli said Sunday that his government is working on a plan to enhance local manufacturing depending on the know-how of Egyptian men of industry and partnerships with global manufacturers.
Madbouli, during a meeting with industrialist Ahmed el Sewedy, underscored efforts to establish a strong infrastructure to encourage businessmen to invest in Egypt.
The government is willing to provide all needed support that would help implement the plan to settle industries in Egypt, the premier said.
Sewedy appreciated the quantum leap achieved over the past years, particularly where the infrastructure is concerned. He welcomed the positive opportunity offered by the political leadership for the private sector to directly invest with the public sector in the different national projects.
Egypt is rich in potentials that could very well turn it into a major manufacturer in the region despite all challenges, Sewedy believes.
