Egyptian universities are witnessing a golden age under President Abdel Fattah el Sisi and are competing at international level. The New Administrative Capital (NAC) has also become a destination for international universities.
Egypt is truly on the map of distinguished academic education after the implementation of a strategy, led by Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Khaled Abdul Ghafar.
State investment in university education reached LE90 billion over six years, most of the finance went to state institutes.
In ‘Sisi’s Egypt’ we now offer world-class education and universities play a vital role in serving society. Scientific research has also been directed to serve national goals, supporting the country’s strategy for sustainable development 2030.
The grand development projects being carried out across the nation have offered the universities a golden opportunity to provide the necessary scientific research and technology in this landmark stage of Egypt’s history under President Sisi.
Keeping pace with these unprecedented achievements, the Tanta University has launched a project to move to a Third Generation University, supporting scientific and technological infrastructure in various colleges and digitising all services.
Part of this has been opening the first robotics unit in Egyptian universities at the Faculty of Engineering to offer training on latest technologies.
This is part of the efforts to support the Tanta University’s strategic goals for promoting scientific research and achieving a leap in the competition with other ones nationwide. The university aims to produce cadres well acquainted with the latest technology, as well as linking graduates to actual needs of the labour market.
In addition, the Tanta University is posed to open a branch in Djibouti as part of the efforts to support brothers in Africa, as part of Egypt’s leading role on the continent.
A co-operation agreement has been signed with the University of Djibouti to open the branch that will offer quality education and various specialisations to back the development project in the country.
In addition, fees have been reduced for expats studying at the Tanta University which welcomes students form all the Arab and African countries.
Moreover, responding to directives by President Sisi to promote distance learning, the Tanta University board has decided to launch an educational satellite channels. Transmission is expected as early as October.
