CAIRO – Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli on Thursday reviewed a report on the efforts exerted by the Cabinet’s Supreme Medical Committee chaired by Dr Hossam el-Masri in the first quarter in 2022.
El-Masri told the premier that the committee responded to about 1,447 emergency calls announced by newspapers, news sites and social media pages during the aforementioned period.
He added that the state will bear the treatment costs of 561 emergency cases.
These emergency cases include appeals for performing surgeries in different specialisations, he said, noting that the committee took part in a large number of medical campaigns touring various governorates.
