Agriculture Minister el-Sayed el-Quseir congratulated on Tuesday Dr. Hamdy Al Mwafi, the head of the national project to develop super hybrid rice under conditions of water scarcity and climate change at the Field Crops Research Institute of the Agriculture Ministry on being awarded the gold medal at the International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva 2022.
Quseir expressed his appreciation for all outstanding researchers and scientists, saying his ministry pays attention to applied research and offers all forms of support to it.
It is set to benefit from Mwafi’s research to expand in cultivating the new high yielding and low water consuming variety of rice, the minister added.
