CAIRO – Egyptian Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa has praised worshipers’ adherence to precautionary health measures while performing Taraweeh prayers at mosques in the first night of the holy fasting month of Ramadan.
Gomaa told MENA on Saturday that worshipers have hailed and thanked the Awqaf ministry for the return of the Taraweeh prayers and religious lessons at the mosques during Ramadan this year, expressing the ministry’s confidence in the awareness of worshipers about anti-coronavirus measures.
Cleaning and sterilisation of the mosques following prayers are among the ministry’s key priorities during the sacred month of Ramadan, the minister said, warning against neglecting the precautionary measures or the ministry’s directives on the religious lessons at mosques.
