CAIRO – US ambassador in Cairo Jonathan Cohen said that serving as US envoy to Egypt was a great experience.
In a message, recorded as he finished his tenure in Egypt, Cohen said that the US-Egyptian ties have witnessed an exceptional fruitful cooperation during his tenure.
During his service in Egypt, the US-Egyptian strategic dialogue was relaunched in November with paying much focus on supporting the common targets between the two countries, especially boosting the regional peace and stability, he added.
He, also, noted that US has introduced 23.5 million coronavirus vaccine to Egypt amid the cooperation between the two countries to fight the coronavirus pandemic.
The trade exchange between Washington and Cairo has reached its historical highest level in 2021, exceeding nine billion dollars, Cohen said.
Wrapping up his message, Cohen thanked the Egyptian people on their hospitality and wished progress and prosperity to Egypt.
